in addition to those of other talented designers
with a sprinkle of "how to's" and videos.
If you are anything like me, always in search of beauty and creativity,
this will be a place to land for fresh ideas.
With 25 years (or so) of experience in floral design, I am hungry to learn more
and this will be a place to share those things.
About Me...
Jill Mohn
Naturally introverted, this blog was created as a way to express myself
in a quiet, behind-the-scenes kind of way.
My love for flowers began at a flower shop in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota; "Floral Impressions".
A "Help Wanted" sign was displayed in their front window and I had time on my hands from being laid-off from a seasonal business. Walking through the door, greeted by a friendly smile and the overwhelming smell of flowers, I answered the first question asked of me during my interview.
"Can you make a bow?"
The rest is history as they say...
My knowledge and experience has come from the many creative, talented designers who I have worked side-by-side with, who have generously shared with me what they know.
Florist are some of the hardest working people I know! Working in local flower shops on and off through the past 19 years, attending workshops and seminars and continuing education online is what equips me for designing.
It is my goal to continue doing what I love,
by offering quality, creative, floral design
for weddings and events, celebrations of life, your home or office.
